Cabinet refacing · A focused update
Cabinet refacing updates the visible character of an existing kitchen or bathroom while retaining suitable cabinet boxes. Houstone offers refacing in 3D laminate and solid wood. It is worth exploring when the current layout works and the cabinet structure is worth keeping.

Refacing starts with an assessment, not simply a new door colour. Share photographs of the whole room, cabinet interiors, hinges and any damage. Loose fixings, swelling, water damage or an unsuitable layout may change what is practical. The existing cabinet boxes are excluded from Houstone’s published refacing warranty.
Houstone’s 3D laminate range includes super matte, high gloss and textured wood-grain finishes on an MDF core. Compare the door profile, colour and handle together. Selected options may include glass doors, crown moulding, light valances and other accessories; availability depends on the chosen range.
Replacing doors is different from replacing a kitchen. If the project also includes a new countertop, sink, lighting or backsplash, describe these changes together. Ask what is retained, replaced or adjusted and how any additional trades will be coordinated.

Useful answers
Refacing focuses on existing cabinetry. Moving cabinets, changing the layout or correcting damaged boxes requires a separate assessment and may call for new cabinetry.
